The Israel team getting ready for Finland

Our women's national team is a young project that began in 2014. We've done international races in Italy and Russia as a team, and some of our riders raced individually in other countries. Earlier this year we hosted 3 international UCI races in Israel (the first ever UCI road races held in Israel, male of female).

Our team leader, Shani Bloch, is currently ranked 95th in the UCI rankings. Our goal is for her to remain in the top 100 until the end of May, which would mean a first-time qualification for an Israeli female cyclist to the Olympic Games. Our aim in Finland is to gain a few UCI points for her, as well as to gain international racing experience for some of our younger riders.
